I like to encourage my students to take control of their education and set personal learning goals. I have a passion for writing and literature, and I strive to instill that passion in my students. The written word can be a very powerful tool and, used correctly, it can help students succeed in both the classroom and in life. I try to get my students to find their own voice and write in a style that they are comfortable with. All students have the capability to improve and thrive in a classroom setting and on standardized tests, but sometimes they just need a little help to get there. I help my students become confident and proficient in their writing ability and deliver a well written essay under pressure. Learning is a lifelong journey and I feel it's my job to give my students the skill set to successfully continue that journey. I attended American Public/Military University and graduated with a Bachelor of Art in English, with honors. I tutor in the areas of Writing, Essay Editing, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, College Essays, AP English Language and Composition, AP English Literature and Composition, English, and Public Speaking. When I am not tutoring, I enjoy outdoor activities and being with my family.
